This past Saturday Erin and I had a blast with Megan and Tim! We both have been DYING to photograph at the Kings Powder factory for years. We got our chance with Megan and Tim! We had a ball using this old abandoned factory with rich textures for our backdrop. Megan and Tim were up for anything! Thank you both for being so much fun and indulging us. Last Friday I had a great time meeting up with Alayna and Rocky! Rocky was a trooper. Rocky just came home from serving our country in Korea. He was fresh off a 20 hour plane ride! It was a little on the chilly side, so warmed up at the Westin and The Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotels. It was great to incorporate all of the holiday decorations into thier engagement session. I was honored to be asked to judge Loveland's PTSA reflections student photography contest. I have to say how impressed I was looking at all of the entries! We held a studio tour this past Wednesday for all of the lucky winners. After the studio tour I talked with the kids and parents about my career in photography, answered questions and showed the Kids some great photoshop tips. Thank you to all of the participants! This past Tuesday our Beloved Leah and her Husband Matthew welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Seth Cory Robbins into the world. Seth arrived Tuesday the 9th of December at 7:38am weighing 7lbs 8Oz. I have to say how fortunate I felt to witness Baby Seth's arrival into this world. WOW! What an amazing experience. Myself being 8 months pregnant, not only did I get to see what I was in for, I got to experience the miracle of life entering this world. Throughout the years I have been so fortunate to photograph some incredible events, this was way up there! Here are a few of my many favorites. Yesterday, while I was working hard "making the pictures", my husband was hard at work on the nursery! I must confess I am a terrible painter. I have been banned from painting at our house. Somehow whenever I paint it looks like a two year painted it! My wonderful husband is the painter of the family. I know if I had attempted to measure and paint the squares on the wall it would be a much different and embarrassing outcome! I had such a nice surprise coming home to the nursery painted. I thought I would share how great the room looks for our little girl. We decided on pink and green (my Delta Zeta sorority sisters out there, don't laugh at me!) Polka dots, stripes and checks. This past Saturday Gary and I had a great time with the Klein and Root families. We could not have had a better day. Everything was just gorgeous and very fitting for Nina and Paul. As former Camp councelors,Camp kern held special signifigance. The ceremony site was carefully chosen due to the sentimental meaning it held for Nina and Paul. The pituresque ceremony site was the same as the couples first kiss and where Paul proposed to Nina. A beautiful reception followed the ceremony held at the camp lodge complete with marshmellows to make for samores. How fun! Here are a few of our many favorites! We had a break in between the Ceremony and Reception, so we were able to take advantage of our time and do some phenomenal portraits. We so enjoyed hanging out with the whole wedding party on the fabulous party bus, where we got to go many great Cincinnati Landmarks in a short amount of time. This past Saturday we had a Blast with the Wolf and Tsitouris Families! Erin and I photographed Courtney's sister Marin's wedding six years ago and we all instantly bonded. I was so excited when Courtney called me last year to book me for her wedding. I feel like part of the family! We were quite busy running around town, but had it all planned out and had a great time in the process! I cried at Courtney's toast for her sister 6 years ago, and got teary once again when her sister toasted Courtney and Dustin so eloquently. Thank you so much for having us! On Saturday June 21st we had the pleasure of photographing our second Lorenz wedding!
It is always wonderful to work with people that we have photographed previously. Thank goodness the cicadas weren't really awful since the ceremony and reception were outside! With the exception of a "little" rain storm after the ceremony we really lucked out with the weather! Working at the Cincinnati Nature Center is always a joy because of it's beautiful surroundings. On Friday May 30th, I had a great time meeting up with Nina and Paul at Camp Kern. Nina and Paul met at Camp Kern years ago as camp councilors. It was only natural for them to choose the grounds of Camp Kern for their engagement session as well as the site for their October Wedding. I spent quite a bit of time as a child at Camp Kern, and this recent visit brought back many memories! We had such a great time exploring their favorite spots around Camp. This past Sunday Juli and I had a great time with Obert and Asher families. We were blessed with another beautiful day for a wedding! You all were so much fun and so nice too! We enjoyed spending the day with you all! We started at Liz's parents home and headed to Nisbit Park in Loveland. We took a tour of Historic Loveland and visited many of my favorite spots. Liz and Kyle were great and such troopers. When I suggested railroad tracks they were up for it! We also did some really beautiful photographs in an alley way and also in front of the old buildings on West Loveland. I also have to mention Liz's flowers and the bridesmaids flowers. This past Saturday, Gary and I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Chip and Greta. The weather was beautiful, and the bride was stunning! I was completely in love with her dress! The wedding was held at St. Monica/St. George in Clifton, and the reception was at the Cincinnati Club downtown. Both locations were spectacular.
